The Governing Council of the Ghana Bible College (GBC), Kumasi invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Principal.
Key Responsibilities
The Principal shall have the following key duties and responsibilities
• Shall be responsible to and report regularly to the council
• Serve as the chief executive officer of the college and shall be in charge of the effective and efficient running of all academic programs, management of the college's financial, human and material resources
• Shall be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the college and recruit the faculty and staff required to achieve the objectives of the college, subject to the approval of the council upon the recommendation of the Academic Board
• Shall serve leadership, guidance and direction for employees compliance and discipline at all times to keep the college safe, fair and smooth running
• Shall prepare the agenda for regular meetings of the council in consultation with the chairman and facilitate the submission of relevant documentation for the council's consideration
• Shall serve as the main public relations officer of the college on behalf of the council in matters of public communication and external engagements
• Shall perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the council from time to time.
Qualification Required & Experience
Academic and Professional Credentials
• Must hold a Terminal Degree in Theology (PhD, D,Min) or a relevant program of study, however, a Master's Degree (M.Div, M.Th M.A) in Biblical Studies, Theology or other relevant program with a minimum of Diploma in Biblical Studies/Ministry from a recognised institution may be considered
• Must have had a minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education management
• Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Ghana's tertiary educational system frameworks, governance requirements and regulatory processes.
Spiritual and Doctrinal Standing
• Must be an active, faithful and baptized member in good standing of the church of christ for a member period of 10 years and must have demonstrated a track record of at least 5 years of effective service in church leadership roles
Age Limit:
Candidates must not be more than 60 years of age at the time of the application
