Mount Mary College of Education, located Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancy: Teachers


Subject Areas

• Education – (Curriculum Studies and Special Education)

• Ghanaian Language – Dangme

• English language – (Language and Literature, Linguistics, Lexico Semantics)


Duties and Responsibilities

•  

Teaching

• Setting and marking of assignments and examination questions

• Supervision of students project work

• Invigilation of examinations

• Research and publications

• Supervise of students internship (Support teaching in schools)

• Engage in Community services and outreach activities

• Participate in curriculum development and academic administration

• Promotion professional development, collaborations and grantsmanship


Qualification Required & Experience


The qualified applicant must:

• Possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the relevant area

• Possess a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in the relevant area

• Possess a good bachelor’s degree in the relevant area

• Possess ICT skills necessary for teaching and research

• Have served as a Lecturer in a College of Education or analogous tertiary institution for at least 2 years
